The experiential soul of the estate. Opened in June 2024, the Locanda Forchir was born to offer the most authentic and sensory soul of the Forchir winery.
Just 100 meters away from the winery, separated only by vineyards, Locanda and Forchir company dialogue in perfect harmony.
When the warmer months arrive, the Locanda opens the doors to its Vineria: an informal and relaxed space where you can stop for a glass of Forchir wine, an aperitif or an evening with friends. Set amongst the indoor areas, the garden and the swimming pool, the Vineria becomes the sociable heart of the Locanda during the summer, offering a seasonal menu designed to complement our wines. As summer draws to a close, the Vineria gives way to a more intimate and private setting: for the rest of the year, the Locanda hosts wine tastings by booking, private and corporate events, as well as a number of special occasions open to the public.
During the warmer months, the Vineria della Locanda becomes the perfect spot to stop for an aperitif, a glass of wine or something tasty to share. Our summer menu has been designed to complement Forchir wines with a simple yet carefully curated selection of cicchetti, platters and fresh dishes, to be enjoyed either inside the Locanda or in the lush setting of our garden. It’s a relaxed and enjoyable way to experience Forchir over a meal, letting yourself be guided by the flavours of the local area and, of course, by a fine glass of wine.
Locanda Forchir opens its doors to private and corporate events, from the most intimate gatherings to grand celebrations. The indoor spaces, the garden, the swimming pool and the areas surrounded by greenery allow you to envisage every event in a different way: an outdoor reception, a dinner under the stars, an aperitif in the garden or a whole day spent with the people who matter most. Every event is tailor-made, from the choice of venues to the culinary offerings, right through to the décor and services, to create an experience that truly reflects the occasion and those taking part.
The taste of sustainability and tradition.
Inside the Locanda you can taste and buy wines from the Forchir winery including the lively Joy Prosecco, both classic and rosé, our Ribolla Gialla, an emblem of the Friulian tradition, and the company’s flagship: wines from PIWI resistant vines , innovative and with a low environmental impact.
Upon reservation, it is possible to participate in guided tastings to discover the aromas, flavors and philosophy that animate each Forchir label.
Locanda Forchir is ideally located for those who want to discover the best of Friuli Venezia Giulia. From here you can easily reach cultural treasures such as Villa Manin, the art city of Udine, the star-shaped fortress of Palmanova and the ancient mosaics of Aquileia, a UNESCO heritage site.
For nature lovers, the cycle paths along the Tagliamento offer suggestive views of vineyards and the river, while the sea of Lignano Sabbiadoro is less than an hour away.
